SSB vs mellee vs brawl

which super smash bros. game was the better game for its time?

The original was best for its time, it was a nice stress reliever and was hours of fun. ^^

i like mellee

just to share my opinion, i liked mellee

SSB 64. woot.

It really depends on one's playing style.

If you like kicking ass, where throws were meant to KO, and basically there was still no drama for the smash series, SSB64's your pick.

If you're a fan of NO ITEMS FOX ONLY FINAL DESTINATION and Combo-based attacks done by people that took the fun out of Smash, pick Melee.

If you're a mix and match of both, you might want to pick Brawl.

Plus it has Snake and Sonic on it.

My favourite SSB game would had to be Super Smash Bros Brawl. I spend hours of fun playing this game, with friends or not. It has tons of characters, it finally has a proper story, and tons of stages to play. My only drawbacks are wifi lag, clone characters, and the crappy stage editor. Major dissappointment =(

Brawl would bea 9/10 for me, mainly because I loved playing the game, and has lots of stuff on there for my amusement.

HK has lots of points here, but I can't really vote due to me not having played all three.

I agree on every part but the clone characters, I didn't mind them too much.
But the online lag was unbearable.
And the stage editor, well lets just say I tried it once and haven't tried it since then.

Melee and SSB64. Hands down.

Brawl has overrated multiplayer, the feel of the game is floatier than Melee, making the awesome "jump-in-the-air-and-do-some-fast-aerial-attacks-before-landing" feel gone. Third-party characters were ovehyped. Hell, the whole game was overhyped.

In short: Melee = SSB64 > Brawl.

Overhype does not make a game suck badly, it just makes you feel like you were going to get something better. You only say that due to these reasons.
