The offical Mario Kart Wii thread

Yep, you know what Mairo Kart is, the classic Mario racing game which you drive, and pretty much try to maul others on the racetrack using crazy items is now on the next gen system, the Wii (well it has been for ages) and it has some great stuff to offer.

Pros:

Awesome race tracks. 32 circuits to race, and blast to the finish on.

Tons of characters to chooose from. From Mario to Yoshi, or even the annoying Baby Peach.

Wifi is some of the best around. No lag, even with 12 players no matter where you are in the world. Awesome stuff.

A lot of weapons to use & master on the racetracks

Cons:

No 2P mirror mode. That'd be awesome to have on here.

Some weapon rotation system is pretty unbalanced IMO. You can easily get 3 lightning clouds if you are in 4th e.g., or if you are in 8th, or 9th, you can easily get 2 - 3 blue shells to nuke the leader infront =/

I love Mario Kart, but I've only played Double Dash, Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart WII

But its a great game, and I think everyone should buy it

Shoot, I would get it for the WiFi, still, it's a pain to play with the Wii Wheel. I prefer to use the Wii remote and Nunchuk, as it's easier to turn and such. Put it this way, Rainbow Road is impossible with the wheel

Its not impossible, but its certainly annoying.
It would be nice to have some other controls.

at first i hated the wii wheel.. now i find it easier..
